Building community
The Annesley Parents’ Association (APA)
Provides an invaluable social/support network to all Annesley families. Parent Events Teams actively fundraise to support nominated projects providing events, facilities and resources that would not otherwise be available to the school. A planning meeting is held at the beginning of the year to plan out key events for the parent community. Parent Event Teams are gathered for each event to encourage parent involvement at various times as time permits to support the implementation of these important events to create belonging in our community. Any queries, please contact Cat Rogowski, EA to the Leadership Team rogowskic@annesley.sa.edu.au.
Class Representatives
When new classes are formed at the end of Term 4 for ‘Moving Up Day’, Parent Class Representatives are asked to nominate to perform the Class Rep role for the following year. This largely involves distributing class contact details and organising a social event for the class/year level each term to build our community sense of belonging. Class Reps are regularly invited for a coffee to meet with each other and our Principal. Family contact details are collected on nominated School Stream post for the purpose of sharing with other families. The school cannot provide these details on behalf of families due to our obligations to maintaining privacy.
